There are four steps you must take to prepare the Issue Tracking application for use.

  1. Install the environment for the Issue Tracking application. You must install Microsoft® Exchange Server 2003 and Microsoft Visual Studio® .NET. For more information, see Setting Up the Development Environment.

  2. Install the Issue Tracking application on the computer running Visual Studio .NET. For more information, see Installing the Application.

  3. Configure the application with a data store and initial company data. For more information, see Configuring the Application.

  4. Specify security settings to control access to the application. For more information, see Setting User Permissions.
