CAML (Collaborative Application Markup Language) のリスト スキーマは、リストを作成するためのメタデータを定義するために使用します。リスト スキーマには、フィールドの定義 (Field 要素)、ビューの定義、ツール バーの定義が含まれ、作成するリストのコンテンツ タイプ、フォーム、および既定の説明が指定されます。リストの定義は、Schema.xml ファイルに格納されており、このファイルは %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\14\TEMPLATE\FEATURES またはサンドボックス ソリューションに含まれます。

プログラムでリストを作成または変更するには、オブジェクト モデル (たとえば、SPList クラスや SPListCollection クラスのメンバー)、リスト Web サービス (Lists クラスのメソッド)、および RPC (Remote Procedure Call) プロトコル (「SharePoint Foundation のメソッド」を参照) を使用します。
