Comentarios

La paginación permite mostrar el contenido del DataGrid control en segmentos de página. La propiedad determina PageSize el número de elementos de una página. Si no se especifica ningún valor para la PageSize propiedad , el DataGrid control mostrará 10 elementos en una página.

De forma predeterminada, la paginación está deshabilitada. Para habilitar la paginación, establezca esta propiedad true en y proporcione código para controlar el PageIndexChanged evento.

La lógica típica del PageIndexChanged evento es establecer la CurrentPageIndex propiedad en el índice de la página que desea mostrar y, a continuación, usar el DataBind método para enlazar los datos al DataGrid control.

Nota

El controlador de eventos recibe un DataGridPageChangedEventArgs objeto como parámetro. Puede usar la NewPageIndex propiedad de este parámetro para determinar el índice de la página seleccionada por el usuario de los elementos de selección de página del DataGrid control.

Con la paginación estándar, el DataGrid control supone que el origen de datos contiene todos los elementos que se van a mostrar. El DataGrid control calcula los índices de los elementos de la página mostrada en función del índice de página, especificado por la CurrentPageIndex propiedad y el número de elementos de una página, especificados por la PageSize propiedad .

Normalmente, se carga un origen de datos que contiene todos los elementos que se van a mostrar cada vez que se pagina el DataGrid control. Esto puede consumir muchos recursos cuando el origen de datos es muy grande. La paginación personalizada permite cargar solo el segmento de datos necesario para mostrar una sola página.
