Creating an information page

To create an information page, complete the following procedure.

  1. Go to the New Portal Page page.

Click Site Settings > Portal Elements > Manage Portal Pages. The Manage Portal Pages page appears. Click the Create a new portal page link, located at the bottom of the Page List web part. The New Portal Page page appears.

  1. Configure your new information page.

On the New Portal Page page, do the following:

Name the page Enter a name for your information page. Follow the naming guidelines listed in Information page name.

**Describe the page   **Enter a short and long description of the page. Follow the guidelines listed in Information page descriptions.

**Select roles   **Select the roles that should have access to your information page.

**Set up context-sensitive help   **Specify a help topic for your information page. See Information page help for details.

**Select a page layout template   **To make your information page consistent with other information pages in Business Portal, select the Header, Footer, 3 Columns template.

**Add the page to the menu   **Select the option for adding the page to the menu. Then specify where the page will appear in the menu. Your information page should be a second-level or third-level menu item.

Click Create. Your new information page is displayed.
