How to: Set Up Third-Party Declarants

In Belgium, you must have a third-party declarant fill out the Intrastat declaration. The third-party declarant must be an external person or company.

To set up a third-party declarant

  1. In the Search box, enter Intrastat Journals, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Home tab, in the Print group, choose Make Diskette.

  3. On the Options FastTab, fill in the fields as described in the following table.

    Field Description

    Nihil declaration

    Select if you do not have any trade transactions with European Union (EU) countries/regions and want to send an empty declaration.

    Enterprise No./VAT Reg. No.

    Enter the enterprise or VAT registration number.

    Post Code

    Enter the postal code.

    Country/Region Code

    Select the country/region code.

    Directory

    Enter the directory which the file will be saved to.

    Send by E-Mail

    Select to indicate that you will be sending the file by email.

    E-Mail

    Enter the email address of the recipient.

  4. Choose the OK button.

    The file will be created in the directory that you indicated.
