Internet Explorer 10 (Standard 8 Module Reference)

7/8/2014

Review the settings, dependencies and any notes for the Internet Explorer 10 module in the Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) module catalog.

This module provides a full web browser to allow users to enter a website address, select favorites, and so on. It includes IExplorer.exe and supporting DLLs. It does not include add-ons, such as Silverlight, that are sometimes used to enhance the Web browsing experience.

By using the Internet Explorer Administration kit (IEAK), you can configure the out-of-box Internet Explorer experience and manage user settings after deployment. For example, the administrator can lock down the browser to allow only certain sites or prepopulate trusted sites and favorites. For information about the IEAK, see Internet Explorer on TechNet.
