3.3.4.1 Send Change Notification

This event MUST be generated with the following arguments:

  • iOperation: An enumeration identifying the subject of the notification. Valid values are QueueCreation, QueueUpdate, QueueDeletion, and QueueManagerUpdate.

  • iDirectoryObject: A reference to a Queue ([MS-MQDMPR] section 3.1.1.2) ADM element instance or a QueueManager ([MS-MQDMPR] section 3.1.1.1) ADM element instance.

Return Values:

None.

The following actions MUST be performed to process this event:

  • Prepare a Change Notification Message (section 2.2.4) with a Version field value of 0x01 or 0x02.<9>

    • For a Version field value of 0x02, use the rules specified in section 3.3.5.1.

    •  For a Version field value of 0x01, use the rules specified in section 3.3.5.2.

  • Send the prepared Change Notification Message following the rules specified in section 3.3.5.3.
