User Interface Core Component Customization

The run-time image you deploy to a target device includes the User Interface Core component. You configure this component to customize the user interface for Windows Explorer on the target device. You specify settings for what programs and options appear on the Start menu, for the task bar, and so on. For example, you can prevent users from having access to the Control Panel, or to the hot keys (keyboard shortcuts), and so on.

For more information on the User Interface Core component, see User Interface Core component in the Component Help Reference in Windows XP Embedded Studio Help.
