ToolStripRenderer.OnRenderSeparator(ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the RenderSeparator event.

protected:
 virtual void OnRenderSeparator(System::Windows::Forms::ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnRenderSeparator (System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs e);
abstract member OnRenderSeparator : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnRenderSeparator : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnRenderSeparator (e As ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs)

Parameters

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnRenderSeparator method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnRenderSeparator(ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRenderSeparator(ToolStripSeparatorRenderEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
