To exchange data with SQL Server, you must first install the software components required for use with Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5. For more information, see Installing a Server Environment.

After installing the required components, you must configure SQL Server to support replication and remote data access (RDA) before you can exchange data between SQL Server Compact 3.5 and SQL Server.
