Definition

The LinearGradient object transitions through a series of colors in a linear manner along a specific angle.

Remarks

Note: Some things to consider when working with LinearGradient objects

  • Attempting to access a Gradient property of an Interior object that does not have an existing gradient fill will result in a Run Time Error. Be aware of the Pattern property before accessing the Gradient property.
  • If Pattern is changed from a gradient type to a non-gradient type, the LinearGradient object will populate with default values.

Properties

Application

When used without an object qualifier, this property returns an _Application object that represents the Microsoft Office Excel application. When used with an object qualifier, this property returns an Application object that represents the creator of the specified object. Read-only.

ColorStops

Returns the ColorStops for the LinearGradient object. Read-only

Creator

Returns a 32-bit integer equivalent to a value in the XlCreator that indicates the application in which this object was created. Read-only.

Degree

The angle of the linear gradient fill within a selection. Read/write

Parent

Returns the parent object for the specified object. Read-only
