Array.copy<'T> Function (F#)

Builds a new array that contains the elements of the given array.

Namespace/Module Path: Microsoft.FSharp.Collections.Array

Assembly: FSharp.Core (in FSharp.Core.dll)

Syntax

// Signature:
Array.copy : 'T [] -> 'T []

// Usage:
Array.copy array

Parameters

array Type: 'T[]

The input array.

Return Value

A copy of the input array.

Remarks

This function is named Copy in compiled assemblies. If you are accessing the function from a language other than F#, or through reflection, use this name.

Example

The following code illustrates the use of Array.copy.


    let array1 = [| 1 .. 10 |]
    let array2 = Array.copy array1
    printfn "%A\n%A" array1 array2

Output

[|1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9; 10|]
[|1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9; 10|]
