Add apps, services, and certifications

After you create a company marketing profile on Pinpoint, make your profile more appealing and relevant to customers by adding information about the apps and services you provide.

  1. List apps you have developed that are built on or enhance Microsoft technologies.
  2. Sign in to manage your Pinpoint account, go to Apps, then choose List an app or + Add.
  3. Enter your app name and select an app type, then select Add.
  4. Complete the App properties, Add app details, and Pricing and availability sections.
    • If you choose to add Customer resources, include only URLs that specifically reference the service for the selected resource type.
    • The Service details (including the name, description, and screenshots) should be localized into the language you select.
  5. Certifications – If you want to add certifications to your app, see the following section, Add app certifications.
  6. Preview your app details and then select Submit for approval. Your app details must be approved by Microsoft before they are published on Pinpoint.

  1. List professional services you offer that help a business customer use Microsoft technologies.
  2. Sign in to manage your Pinpoint account, go to Services, then choose + Add or List a service.
  3. Enter your Service name and choose your Service type, then click Add a professional service.
  4. Complete the Service properties, Add service details, and Pricing and availability sections.
    • If you choose to add Customer resources, include only URLs that specifically reference the service for the selected resource type.
    • The Service details (including the name, description, and screenshots) should be localized into the language you select.
  5. Preview your service details and click Submit for approval. Your service details must be approved by Microsoft before they are published on Pinpoint.

  1. When you earn a Microsoft certification for your app or service, it adds a symbol of quality that makes your listing on Pinpoint stand out. For more information about certification, see the Enterprise Cloud Application Logo Certification Program.
  2. To show certifications in the app or service profile, you must set the following properties.

    Type of app or service certificationRequired properties
    Windows Server or System CenterWhen you create the app profile, set the App Type to Windows Server or System Center.
    SQL Server In the Works With these Microsoft products or technologies list, select SQL Server.
    Microsoft Azure Certified for Hybrid Cloud In the Works With these Microsoft products or technologies list, select Microsoft Azure, Windows Azure Pack, or Hybrid Cloud.

  3. Copy the application or service ID from the app details page or from the certifications page for your app.
  4. Download the test tool kit and Microsoft Platform Ready (MPR) Test Requirements, test your app, review the test report, and create a test results package. The test tools require the application or service ID that you copied in the previous step:

    If your app or service does not pass, fix the issues, and run the test again until it passes.
  5. In the Partner Center, click the Apps or Services tab, select your app, then select Certifications.
  6. For the appropriate certification, click Choose file, and select the test results package that the test tool created.
  7. Click Pay to pay the certification fee.
  8. Click Submit for approval. If the Submit for approval button is grayed-out, please make sure you completed and saved the app or service properties, details, pricing, and availability. Your app or service and your details must be approved before they are published on Pinpoint or in other marketplaces.

    Verification may take up to 72 hours. You’ll receive an email with the certification approval status.

    • If the certification is approved, then your app or service listing will include the certification logo.
    • If you are earning credits toward a Microsoft Partner Network competency, you will also see the application testing credit.
