SourceSafe Options Dialog Box, Command Dialogs Tab (Explorer)

Allows you to specify whether option dialog boxes are displayed when you perform certain commands on files and projects. For example, if you never use the options provided by the Get dialog box, you can specify that the box will not be displayed when you perform the Get Latest Version command.

Dialog Box Access

In Visual SourceSafe Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Options, then Command Dialogs.

  • Commands used on files
    Lists check boxes labeled Get Latest Version, Check Out, Undo Check Out, Show Differences, History, Edit and View. Select a check box to show an options dialog box each time you use the corresponding command. Clear a check box to show the dialog box only if you hold down the SHIFT key when selecting the command.
  • Commands used on projects
    Lists check boxes labeled Get Latest Version, Check Out, Undo Check Out, Show Differences, History, Deploy, and Create Site Map. Select a check box to show an options dialog box each time you use the corresponding command. Clear a check box to show the dialog box only if you hold down the SHIFT key when selecting the command.
