' Data type: Long

Property UdpBufferSize( _
  ByVal lSize As long, _
  ByVal plSize As long _
) As Long

Property value

A 32-bit integer that specifies the size of the buffers used by the Firewall service when transferring data for connections using the UDP protocol.

Error codes

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Remarks

This property is read/write. Its default value is 8,192, and its range of permissible values is from 256 through 65,535.

This property determines the maximum size of a UDP packet that is allowed by the Firewall service. When a UDP packet that is larger than the value set in this property arrives at the Forefront TMG computer, the Firewall service drops the packet and issues event 14152 (EVENT_RWS_UDP_BUFFER_SIZE), which can trigger an Oversized UDP Packet alert.

After the value of this property has been modified, the change must be written to persistent storage by calling the Save method on an object containing FPCLowLevelSettings as a subobject, and the Microsoft Firewall service must be restarted for the change to take effect. For more information about restarting the Firewall service to apply changes, see Restarting Services After Configuration Changes.

This property cannot be accessed through Forefront TMG Management.
