The Windows Hardware Certification Kit (HCK) has a streamlined user interface and automatically detects features. HCK replaces the Windows Logo Kit (WLK).

Download HCK 2.1 or Logo Kit 1.6
Windows HCK 2.1 for Windows 8.1, 7, and Server (2008 R2 to 2012 R2)
Certify your Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 device with the Windows HCK 2.1, which is the latest version. (HCK 2.0 is now retired and no further submissions will be accepted using that kit.)
You can also use the HCK 2.1 to test Windows Server releases spanning from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2.
QFE Update for Windows HCK for Windows 8.1 and 7
If you’ve already started certifying a device using the HCK, you’ll need to install the QFE by running HCKSetup again.
Windows Logo Kit (WLK) 1.6 for Windows Server 2003 – 2008 R2
To certify devices for Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008, use WLK 1.6.
To certify devices for Windows Server 2008 R2, use the HCK 2.1 or WLK 1.6.
