MediaElement.MediaFailed Event

Occurs when there is an error associated with the media Source.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Controls
Assembly:  System.Windows (in System.Windows.dll)
XMLNS for XAML: Not mapped to an xmlns.

public event EventHandler<ExceptionRoutedEventArgs> MediaFailed
<MediaElement MediaFailed="eventhandler" .../>

The MediaFailed event can occur in the following conditions:

  • File not found.

  • Invalid (unrecognized or unsupported) media format.

  • Unknown media error during playback.
