TaskScheduler.TryExecuteTask Method

For apps that target Windows Phone OS 7.0 and 7.1, do not use this member in your app. If you do, your code will throw a MethodAccessException. This member is security-critical, which restricts it to internal use by the .NET Framework for Windows Phone class library.

Parameters

task
Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task
A Task object to be executed.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
A Boolean that is true if task was successfully executed, false if it was not. A common reason for execution failure is that the task had previously been executed or is in the process of being executed by another thread.
