Stream.WriteTimeout Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets or sets a value that determines how long the stream will attempt to write before timing out.

Property Value

A value that determines how long the stream will attempt to write before timing out.

The WriteTimeout method always throws an InvalidOperationException.

Notes to Inheritors The WriteTimeout property should be overridden to provide the appropriate behavior for the stream. If the stream does not support timing out, this property should raise an InvalidOperationException.
