Map.SetView Method (GeoCoordinate, Double, Double, MapAnimationKind)

Sets the map view using the specified center, zoom level, and heading. The view change uses the specified animation.

Type: System.Device.Location.GeoCoordinate
The center to use in the map view. For more info, see the Center property.
Type: System.Double
The zoom level to use in the map view. For more info, see the ZoomLevel property.
Type: System.Double
The heading to use in the map view. For more info, see the Heading property.
Type: Microsoft.Phone.Maps.Controls.MapAnimationKind
The type of animation to use when changing the view.

If you provide a value for the center argument that is less than two centimeters (2 cm.) from the current center, the new value is ignored and the current center is not changed. The other properties such as zoomLevel, however, are updated using the new values that were passed in, even when the value of center is ignored.
