WindowsRuntimeSystemExtensions.GetAwaiter<TProgress> Method (<TProgress>)

For apps that target Windows Phone OS 7.0 and 7.1, do not use any members of this type in your app. If you do, your code will throw a MethodAccessException. This type is security-critical, which restricts it to internal use by the .NET Framework for Windows Phone class library.

Type Parameters


The type of object that provides data that indicates progress.


Type: IAsyncActionWithProgress<TProgress>
The asynchronous action to await.

Type: System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter
An object that awaits the specified asynchronous action.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IAsyncActionWithProgress<TProgress>. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter.
