IGeoPositionWatcher<T> Interface

Interface that can be implemented for providing accessing location data and receiving location updates.

Type Parameters


The type of the object that contains the location data.

The IGeoPositionWatcher<T> type exposes the following members.

Public propertyPositionGets the location data.
Public propertyStatusGets the status of location data.

Public methodStart()Initiate the acquisition of location data.
Public methodStart(Boolean)Start acquiring location data, specifying whether or not to suppress prompting for permissions. This method returns synchronously.
Public methodStopStop acquiring location data.
Public methodTryStartStart acquiring location data, specifying an initialization timeout. This method returns synchronously.

Public eventPositionChangedOccurs when the Position property has changed.
Public eventStatusChangedOccurs when the Status property changes.

The GeoCoordinateWatcher class implements IGeoPositionWatcher<T>, using GeoCoordinate as the type parameter.
