TextWriter.Write Method (Object)

Writes the text representation of an object to the text stream by calling ToString on that object.

Namespace: System.IO
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

public virtual void Write (
	Object value
)
public void Write (
	Object value
)
public function Write (
	value : Object
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

value

The object to write.

Exception typeCondition

ObjectDisposedException

The TextWriter is closed.

This version of Write is equivalent to Write .

If the specified object is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), no action is taken and no exception is thrown. Otherwise, the object's ToString method is called to produce the string representation, and the resulting string is then written to the output stream.
