Refresh Version Control Status

Team Foundation version control uses Source Control Explorer as its primary interface and might require a periodic refresh to gather updated information from the server. For more information about Source Control Explorer, see Using Source Control Explorer. The following procedure demonstrates how to refresh the Source Control Explorer.

Required Permissions

To perform these procedures, you must have the Read permission set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To refresh version control status

  1. Open Source Control Explorer. If it is not open, see Open Source Control Explorer.

  2. On the File menu, click Source Control, and then click Refresh Status.

    Source Control Explorer is refreshed with the latest status.

    Tip

    The Source Control Explorer's toolbar also contains a refresh option.
