CanWriteKeyIdentifierClause Method

SecurityTokenHandler.CanWriteKeyIdentifierClause Method (SecurityKeyIdentifierClause)

.NET Framework 4.6 and 4.5

Returns a value that indicates whether the specified key identifier clause can be serialized by this instance.

Namespace:   System.IdentityModel.Tokens
Assembly:  System.IdentityModel (in System.IdentityModel.dll)

abstract CanWriteKeyIdentifierClause :
        securityKeyIdentifierClause:SecurityKeyIdentifierClause -> bool
override CanWriteKeyIdentifierClause :
        securityKeyIdentifierClause:SecurityKeyIdentifierClause -> bool

Type: System.IdentityModel.Tokens.SecurityKeyIdentifierClause

The key identifier clause to be checked.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean

true if the key identifier clause can be serialized; otherwise, false. The default is false.

The default implementation always returns false.

If you override CanWriteKeyIdentifierClause, you must also override the WriteKeyIdentifierClause method to provide the logic to serialize the key identifier clause.
