Print Processor API Test
Note This content applies to the Windows Logo Kit (WLK). For the latest information using the new Windows Hardware Certification Kit (HCK), see Windows HCK User's Guide on the Windows Hardware Dev Center.
Type: Automated Test
The Print Processor API test tries to load the given print processor into its own process and verify that all of the required endpoints are available.
The Print Processor API Test calls LoadLibrary on the specified print processor to load it into its own process. It then calls GetProcAddress on the following six required endpoints:
If the test cannot find one of these required endpoints, it will log a failure.
Due to the large number of possible functions that print processors are capable of, it is impossible to write an automated test that can test any given print processor. It is recommended that the print processors functionality is also tested manually to ensure that it is working as expected.
Command Line Parameters:
Usage: ProcAPITest [-printer:Printer Name] [-proc:Print Processor Name] [-l]
-printer: <Printer Name> name of printer to test.
Use \\Server\Printer for remote printers.
If no printer name is specified, the default printer is tested.
-proc: Name of the print processor to test.
-l: Lists the print processor on the system.
All print processors must be installed on the system before they can be tested. If the print processor is specified, it will be tested in combination with the default printer, or if no printer is installed, it will only be tested on whether or not it supports the required interfaces.
Pass: The Print Processor API test passes if the rollup at the end of the log file contains no failures.
Fail: The Print Processor API test fails if the rollup at the end of the log file contains one or more failures.
