Azure SQL Database REST API Reference

The Resource Manager API includes operations for managing Azure SQL Database servers, elastic database pools, elastic databases, databases, and server firewall rules.

[This feature is currently available only as a preview. The content related to this feature is preliminary.]

The following information is common to all tasks that you might do related to Azure SQL Database:

  • Replace {management-endpoint} with https://management.azure.com in the URI.

  • Replace {subscription-id} with your subscription identifier in the URI.

  • Replace {resource-group-name} with the name of the resource group in the URI.

  • Replace {server-name} with the name of the server in the URI.

    The {server-name} value must be set using all lowercase ANSI letters , hyphen, and the numbers 1 through 9. Do not use a hyphen as the leading or trailing character.

  • Replace {elastic-pool-name} with the name of the elastic pool in the URI.

  • Replace {database-name} with the name of the database in the URI.

  • Replace {api-version} with 2014-04-01-preview in the URI.

  • Set the Content-Type header to application/json; charset=UTF-8.

  • Set the Accept header to application/json.
