WMS_EVENT_PLAY

A client requested that a server stream content to it. The event is also sent for a server-side playlist as a result of a playlist switch event. To determine the offset requested by the client, you can examine the WMS_COMMAND_CONTEXT_START_OFFSET and the WMS_COMMAND_CONTEXT_START_OFFSET_TYPE command context values.

• Note   For versions of Windows Media Player prior to Windows Media Player for XP, the WMS_EVENT_OPEN event must be authorized before WMS_EVENT_PLAY can be authorized.
