defer property

Sets or retrieves the status of the script.

Syntax

HRESULT value = object.put_defer(VARIANT_BOOL v);HRESULT value = object.get_defer(VARIANT_BOOL* p);

Property values

Type: VARIANT_BOOL

VARIANT_FALSE (false)

Default. Inline executable function is not deferred.

VARIANT_TRUE (true)

Inline executable function is deferred.

Remarks

Using the attribute at design time can improve the download performance of a document because the client does not need to parse and execute the script and can continue downloading and parsing the document instead.
