Running the test

Before you run the test, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Mouse or other Pointing Device Testing Prerequisites.

By following the directions on the screen, you will perform three taps in an indicated area on the touchpad. After each set of three taps, the instructions will tell you move to a different area, for a total of 15 taps. If the instructions say to tap in a corner, tap as close to that corner as possible. For each iteration, do the following:

  1. Tap the location that is specified on the screen.

    Note

The location is calculated as a 13mm square area. For example, if the instructions say Top Left Corner, you should tap somewhere in the top-left most 13mm of the touchpad.

  2. If a tap is registered by the device, the iteration will automatically pass and move on to the next iteration.

  3. If no tap is registered by the device, you must manually fail the iteration.
