How to: View Permissions

In administering Team Foundation Server, you want to view and modify the permissions granted to individual users or groups. In this topic, you learn how to view permissions in Team Foundation for individuals and groups.

Required Permissions

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Team Foundation Valid Users group or have the View Project-Level Information permission set to Allow. For more information about permissions, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To view server-level permissions

  1. In Team Explorer, right-click the server for which you want to view permissions, select Team Foundation Server Settings, and then click Security.

  2. In the Users and Groups pane, select the user or group for which you want to view permissions.

    Permissions will be displayed in the Permission pane.

To view project-level permissions

  1. In Team Explorer, right-click the project for which you want to view permissions, click Team Project Settings, and then click Security.

  2. In the Users and Groups pane, select the user or group for which you want to view permissions.

    Permissions will be displayed in the Permission pane.
