Procedura: implementare un provider di estensione HelpLabel

Un provider di estensione è un componente mediante cui sono fornite proprietà ad altri componenti. Il controllo ToolTip, ad esempio, viene implementato come provider di estensione. Quando si aggiunge un controllo ToolTip a una classe Form, all'elenco delle proprietà di tutti gli altri controlli di Form viene aggiunta una proprietà ToolTip.

Nell'esempio riportato di seguito viene illustrato come compilare un provider di estensione mediante la creazione del controllo HelpLabel. Viene visualizzata l'implementazione del metodo CanExtend e della proprietà HelpText. Il metodo CanExtend è utilizzato da Progettazione Windows Form per determinare se estendere la proprietà a un determinato controllo. Il controllo HelpLabel estende la proprietà HelpText per consentirne l'utilizzo con i controlli su un form. Il testo della Guida per un controllo viene visualizzato in un pannello quando il controllo ha lo stato attivo.

Nell'esempio è inclusa una finestra di progettazione annidata descritta in Procedura: implementare una finestra di progettazione per un controllo.

Nell'esempio sono illustrati i seguenti elementi:

  • Il provider di estensione HelpLabel implementa IExtenderProvider.

  • Il controllo HelpLabel utilizza ProvidePropertyAttribute per specificare il nome della proprietà fornita nonché il tipo di componenti che potrebbero riceverla.

  • HelpLabel è un controllo Windows Form e deriva quindi da Control.

  • Il metodo CanExtend restituisce true per qualsiasi controllo ad eccezione di HelpLabel in quanto non ha senso estendere una proprietà su se stessa.

  • HelpLabel dispone di un metodo denominato GetHelpText che ottiene la proprietà che HelpLabel rende disponibile ad altri controlli. Il metodo SetHelpText imposta il valore della proprietà.

    Nota

    La proprietà estesa viene fornita dai metodi GetHelpText e SetHelpText e HelpLabel e non espone una proprietà denominata HelpText.
