Des événements de dessin et d'entrée d'utilisateur dans des fenêtres sont des interfaces utilisateur.

L'autorisation d'utiliser des fenêtres peut être : sans restriction, limitée à des SafeTopLevelWindows, uniquement des SafeSubWindows ou pas de dessin de fenêtre ou accès à l'événement d'entrée d'utilisateur autorisé. SafeTopLevelWindows et SafeSubWindows présentent des restrictions de titre et de taille afin d'éviter une possible usurpation par un code éventuellement nuisible.

L'autorisation d'utiliser le Presse-papiers peut être sans restriction, en écriture seulement ou pas d'accès autorisé au Presse-papiers. La limitation de collage empêche les applications éventuellement nuisibles de prendre des données dans le Presse-papiers sans le consentement de l'utilisateur, sans toutefois interdire les opérations couper, copier et coller lorsqu'elles sont initialisées par l'utilisateur par l'intermédiaire de commandes de clavier.
