The Web Site URL Required dialog box prompts you for a location to use for browsing pages in an FTP Web site. The location can be changed later through the Web site property pages.

  • Web site
    This text box shows the URL used when the FTP Web site was created. You cannot change this element.

  • URL
    This text box shows the URL that will be used to access the FTP Web site. A default URL is given based on the information used when the FTP site was created.

    The FTP Web site must have an equivalent Web site for testing the site with a browser. Contact the server administrator to determine whether a Web site exists on the server.

    You can change the information entered for the URL text box later by right-clicking the Web site name in Solution Explorer, and then clicking Property Pages. On the Start Options tab, under Server, click Use custom server, and then in the Base URL box, type the location.
