FileOpenPicker.PickSingleFileAsync() | pickSingleFileAsync() method

Shows the file picker so that the user can pick one file.

Syntax


fileOpenPicker.pickSingleFileAsync().done( /* Your success and error handlers */ );

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

Type: IAsyncOperation<StorageFile>

When the call to this method completes successfully, it returns a StorageFile object that represents the file that the user picked.

Remarks

Note  This API isn't supported for Windows Phone for either Windows Runtime or Silverlight. Use PickSingleFileAndContinue instead.
