Multi-channel

Some customers may want you to handle the entire lifecycle for a subscription, that is, sales, provisioning, support, and renewal. However, in many cases customers purchase subscriptions from a different channel, but want to hire you to provision or support the subscriptions.

Multi-channel support applies when the customer:

  • Has already bought subscriptions from 21Vianet.
  • Bought the subscriptions from you when you were in the Advisor program, and now you’re in the CSP program.

License-based services

To provide support for multichannel accounts, you must request permissions from the customer to manage their subscriptions. See Request a relationship with a customer.

Indirect partners

  • The indirect partner creates the CSP invitation, based on the link in Partner Center, and can send it either directly to the end customer, or to your resellers who can send it to end customers.

  • Resellers working for an indirect partner in the CSP program can’t create their own CSP invitations. They must use the one provided by their indirect partner.

  • The indirect partner will own the reseller relationship, but their customer can grant delegated administrative privileges to another reseller so they can manage provisioning and/or support.
