2.2.2.2.2 EnableOutboundSMS

The settings:EnableOutboundSMS element ([MS-ASCMD] section 2.2.3.60) is an optional child element of the settings:Set element ([MS-ASCMD] section 2.2.3.167) in the Settings command request. It is used to provision the server for sending outbound SMS messages through the mobile device. (Outbound SMS messages are sent only through mobile devices that enable it.)

The value of this element is an integer, as specified in [MS-ASDTYPE] section 2.6. If this element is set to 1, then the mobile device can be used to send outbound SMS messages. If this element is set to 0, then the mobile device will not be used to send outbound SMS messages. Devices that were previously enabled, but no longer want to act as SMS transport agents for the server, can reset the property to zero on the server by sending a Settings command request with the settings:EnableOutboundSMS element set to 0. The default value of this element is 0.
