ConnectionStringSettingsCollection.Remove Method (String)

Removes the specified ConnectionStringSettings object from the collection.

public void Remove(
	string name
)

Parameters

name
Type: System.String
The name of a ConnectionStringSettings object in the collection.

The following example shows how to remove the ConnectionStringSettings object with the specified name from the collection.

{

    try
    {
        System.Configuration.Configuration config =
         ConfigurationManager.OpenExeConfiguration(
         ConfigurationUserLevel.None);

        // Clear the connection strings collection.
        ConnectionStringsSection csSection =
            config.ConnectionStrings;
        ConnectionStringSettingsCollection csCollection =
         csSection.ConnectionStrings;

        // Remove the element.
            csCollection.Remove("ConnStr0");


        // Save the configuration file.
        config.Save(ConfigurationSaveMode.Modified);
