There was an error when applying security attributes. This could be a result of using a security attributes incorrectly or it could indicate a problem with the compiler.

To correct this error

  1. Verify that the syntax and arguments for the attribute.

  2. Compile the program again to see if the error reoccurs.

  3. If the error continues, save your work and restart Visual Studio.

  4. If the error reoccurs, reinstall Visual Basic.

  5. If the error persists after reinstallation, notify Microsoft Product Support Services.
