SoftwareInfo XML Schema

A metadata package contains one SoftwareInfo.xml file, which contains information for downloading an application and giving privileged access to apps.

The data within the Softwareinfo.xml file is formatted based on the SoftwareInfo XML Schema Definition schema, which is described in this section.

A device metadata package must contain only one SoftwareInfo XML document.

Note   The XML document must be saved by using UTF-8 encoding.

Note   The SoftwareInfo XML schema is supported in Windows 8 and later versions of Windows.
