  • You may not be able to read HCK Client pre-requisite install dialogs. The characters all appear as squares by design, unless you follow these steps to enable the language pack:

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Date, Time, Language and Regional Options, and then click Regional and Language Options.

    2. Choose the Languages tab at the top.

    3. In Supplemental language support, see whether the Install files for complex script and right to left languages (including Thai)" checkbox is selected.

      • If it is selected, leave it selected. This means that your computer is fully enabled for Unicode, and you can skip the steps below.

      • If it is not selected, read the note below, and then select it.

        Note

The Windows XP operating system installation CD may be required. If you have misplaced or lost your Windows XP CD, contact your PC vendor (i.e. the company that supplied the computer to you). If you bought your PC from a reputed vendor, the vendor may have left a copy of the full CD on your hard drive under, for example, c:\i386 or d:\winxpBack\i386. If you are able locate this directory on your hard drive, specify the location when you are prompted to provide your Windows XP CD. We recommend that afterwards you backup this directory to a CD-ROM and keep the CD safe if a future need arises.

    4. When prompted, install the required files.

    5. Restart the machine.

  • Windows Installer 4.5 update will silently install and forcibly restart the system without warning after you launch Setup.exe. Re-launch Setup.exe after restarting.

  • Net Framework 4 Client Profile is installed as a prerequisite, and may also forcibly restart your system. Re-launch Setup.exe after restarting.
