notifyFn

The filter engine calls a callout driver's notifyFn callout function to notify the callout driver about events that are associated with the callout. There are three prototypes for the notifyFn function:

  • For the notifyFn function prototype that's supported starting with Windows Vista, see notifyFn0.

  • For the notifyFn function prototype that's supported starting with Windows 7, see notifyFn1. You must use this prototype if your callout driver uses WFP features that aren't supported in earlier Windows versions.

  • For the notifyFn function prototype that's supported starting with Windows 8, see notifyFn2. You must use this prototype if your callout driver uses WFP features that aren't supported in earlier Windows versions.
