NdisWritePortBufferUshort function

Note   NDIS 5. x has been deprecated and is superseded by NDIS 6. x. For new NDIS driver development, see Network Drivers Starting with Windows Vista. For information about porting NDIS 5. x drivers to NDIS 6. x, see Porting NDIS 5.x Drivers to NDIS 6.0.

NdisWritePortBufferUshort is called by the miniport driver to write USHORTs from a buffer to a NIC.

Syntax

VOID NdisWritePortBufferUshort(
  _In_ NDIS_HANDLE NdisAdapterHandle,
  _In_ ULONG       Port,
  _In_ PUSHORT     Buffer,
  _In_ ULONG       Length
);

Parameters

  • NdisAdapterHandle [in]
Specifies the handle that the NDIS interface library associates with the network interface card.

  • Port [in]
    Specifies the I/O port.

  • Buffer [in]
Pointer to the caller-supplied buffer from which this function writes the USHORT values to Port.

  • Length [in]
Specifies the number of USHORTs to write to Port.

Return value

None

Remarks

NdisWritePortBufferUshort sequentially writes each USHORT to the port. It determines how the host accesses the I/O port and processes the write request accordingly.
