CoreWindow.CharacterReceived event

Is fired when a new character is received by the input queue.

Syntax


public event TypedEventHandler<CoreWindow, CharacterReceivedEventArgs> CharacterReceived

Event information

Delegate TypedEventHandler<CoreWindow, CharacterReceivedEventArgs>

Event source is a CoreWindow object.

Event data is provided by CharacterReceivedEventArgs.

Remarks

Apps do not receive this event when an Input Method Editor (IME) is enabled. The IME handles all keyboard input and sets Handled to true.
