Application::EnterThreadModal Event

Occurs when the application is about to enter a modal state.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

public:
event EventHandler^ EnterThreadModal {
	static void add(EventHandler^ value);
	static void remove(EventHandler^ value);
}

System_CAPS_cautionCaution

Because this is a static event, you must detach your event handlers when your application is disposed, or memory leaks will result.

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the EnterThreadModal event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox::Show with Console::WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a Windows Forms and ensure that the event handler is associated with the EnterThreadModal event.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.

SecurityPermission

Requires UnmanagedCode permission to listen to the event.
