PSDataStreams Members

Provides access to the data streams of a PowerShell object. These data streams include the debug, error, progress, verbose, and warning data streams, but do not include the output data stream. This class cannot be inherited. This class is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.

The following tables list the members exposed by the PSDataStreams type.

  Name Description
public property Debug Gets or sets the debug data stream for the PowerShell object. The command invoked by the PowerShell object can optionally write information to this stream when attempting to troubleshoot an action. This property is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.
public property Error Gets or sets the error data stream for the PowerShell object. The command invoked by the PowerShell object writes information to this stream whenever a nonterminating error occurs. This property is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.
public property Progress Gets or sets the progress data stream for the PowerShell object. The command invoked by the PowerShell object can optionally write status information to this stream while performing an action. This property is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.
public property Verbose Gets or sets the verbose data stream for the PowerShell object. The command invoked by the PowerShell object can optionally write verbose information to this stream while performing an action. This property is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.
public property Warning Gets or sets the warning data stream for the PowerShell object. The command invoked by the PowerShell object can optionally write warning messages to this stream while performing an action. This property is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.
