Updated: April 27, 2016

Applies To: Windows PowerShell

Returns any dynamic parameters required by the Rename-ItemProperty cmdlet.

Namespace:   System.Management.Automation.Provider
Assembly:  System.Management.Automation (in System.Management.Automation.dll)

object RenamePropertyDynamicParameters(
	string path,
	string sourceProperty,
	string destinationProperty
)

Parameters

path
Type: System.String

The path to the item where the property is to be renamed.

sourceProperty
Type: System.String

The original name of the property.

destinationProperty
Type: System.String

The new name of the property.

Return Value

Type: System.Object

An Object that contains the dynamic parameters for the Rename-ItemProperty cmdlet.

The provider engine calls this method before the RenameProperty method is called to dynamically add parameters to the Rename-ItemProperty cmdlet. The Object object returned by this method can be any CLR object that has properties or fields tagged as parameters or a pseudo-parameter collection that allows additional parameters to be defined at runtime.

In this context, an "item" is something that contains content within a data store. For example, the items of the file system data store could be files or directories.
