IWMDMStorageGlobals::GetTotalSize

The GetTotalSize method retrieves the total size of the storage medium associated with the IWMDMStorageGlobals interface.

Syntax

HRESULT GetTotalSize(
  DWORD*  pdwTotalSizeLow,
  DWORD*  pdwTotalSizeHigh
);

Parameters

pdwTotalSizeLow

[out]  Pointer to a DWORD that receives the low-order bytes of the total size of the medium.

pdwTotalSizeHigh

[out]  Pointer to a DWORD that receives the high-order bytes of the total size of the medium.

Return Values

The method returns an HRESULT. All the interface methods in Windows Media Device Manager and service provider can return any of the following classes of error codes:

  • Standard COM error codes
  • Windows error codes converted to HRESULT values
  • Windows Media Device Manager error codes

Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code Description
S_OK The method succeeded.
E_INVALIDARG A parameter is an invalid or NULL pointer.
WMDM_E_NOTSUPPORTED The device is not capable of retrieving the total amount of space on the storage medium.
E_FAIL An unspecified error occurred.
WMDM_E_NOTCERTIFIED The caller is not certified.
