IMDDataset is a mandatory interface on the dataset object. This interface provides methods for finding information about axes, axis rowsets, cell data, and the command object that created the dataset.

FreeAxisInfo

Frees the array of MDAXISINFO structures returned by IMDDataset::GetAxisInfo.

GetAxisInfo

Returns the number of axes in the dataset object and detailed information about each axis.

GetAxisRowset

Returns the specified axis rowset.

GetCellData

Returns the cell value and formatted value of a range of cells.

GetSpecification

Returns an interface on the command object that created the dataset object
