MSISCSITARGET_StorageHardwareID class

Represents a hardware ID that serves as an authorization subject.

The following syntax is simplified from Managed Object Format (MOF) code and includes all of the inherited properties.

Syntax

class MSISCSITARGET_StorageHardwareID : CIM_StorageHardwareID
{
  string  StorageID;
  uint16  IDType;
  string  OtherIDType;
  string  InstanceID;
  boolean CurrentlyAuthenticated = FALSE;
  string  Caption;
  string  Description;
  string  ElementName;
};

Members

The MSISCSITARGET_StorageHardwareID class has these types of members:

Properties

The MSISCSITARGET_StorageHardwareID class has these properties.

Caption
Data type: string
Access type: Read-only
Qualifiers: MaxLen (64)

Indicates a short textual description of the object.

This property is inherited from the CIM_ManagedElement class.

CurrentlyAuthenticated
Data type: boolean
Access type: Read-only

Indicates whether this instance has been authenticated. It is currently recognized within the scope of an authentication service or authority.

Important  Authenticity should not be assumed. This property is set and cleared by the security infrastructure, and should only be readable within the management infrastructure.

Note  The value of this property might not be sufficient by itself to determine authentication or authorization. The security infrastructure might require additional properties of an identity subclass, such as a security token or computer hardware port communication details.

This property is inherited from the CIM_Identity class.

Description
Data type: string
Access type: Read-only

Indicates a textual description of the object.

This property is inherited from the CIM_ManagedElement class.

ElementName
Data type: string
Access type: Read-only

Indicates a user-friendly name for the object. This property enables each instance to define a user-friendly name in addition to its key properties, identity data, and description information.

This property is inherited from the CIM_ManagedElement class.

IDType
Data type: uint16
Access type: Read-only
Qualifiers: Required

Indicates the type of the ID property.

Note  An iSCSI Name value can be in any one of three iSCSI formats, IQN, EUI, or NAA.

Possible values are.

Other (1)
PortWWN (2)
NodeWWN (3)
Hostname (4)
iSCSI Name (5)
SwitchWWN (6)

This property is inherited from the CIM_StorageHardwareID class.

InstanceID
Data type: string
Access type: Read-only
Qualifiers: Key

Uniquely and opaquely identifies an instance of this class within the scope of the containing namespace.

Important   To ensure uniqueness within the namespace, the value of InstanceID should be constructed in the following pattern:

OrgID:LocalID

OrgID must include a copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise unique name that is owned by the business entity that defines the InstanceID, or be a registered ID that is assigned by a recognized global authority. This pattern is similar to the structure of schema class names. In addition, to ensure uniqueness, the first colon in InstanceID must be between the OrgID andLocalID. Therefore the OrgID must not contain a colon (':').

LocalID is chosen by the business entity and should not be re-used to identify different underlying real-world elements.

If the above pattern is not used, the defining entity must assure that the resultant InstanceID is not re-used across any InstanceID properties that are produced by this provider or other providers for this namespace. LocalID must include either a vendor-specified unique identifier, or if it is mapped from an ITU M.3100 environment, the trailID, connectionID or subNetworkConnectionID property of the instance.

For Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) defined instances, the pattern must be used with the OrgID set to "CIM".

This property is inherited from the CIM_Identity class.

OtherIDType
Data type: string
Access type: Read-only

Indicates a textual description of the ID type when the IDType property is Other.

This property is inherited from the CIM_StorageHardwareID class.

StorageID
Data type: string
Access type: Read-only
Qualifiers: MaxLen (256) , Required

Indicates the hardware worldwide unique ID.

This property is inherited from the CIM_StorageHardwareID class.
